Bit late with this one but had a great time at the weekend commentating LIVE on SKY TV at the World Series Finals at the Queens Club, London. It was great fun and the squash, particularly the men’s final was just awesome. Managed to catch up with some old playing buddies from way back and meet a few new ones aswell. Hopefully this will be the start of many squash events to be televised on sky. Fingers crossed!!

Having visited and chatted to over 1,200 primary aged school children prior to christmas the response to get involved in squash has been absolutely fantastic. Check out some of the photos taken on the roadshow tour on the roadshows page. Had a great afternoon in Berkshire a couple of weeks ago in my capacity as a Sport Makers Ambassador. Met loads of great people, enthusiastic about getting invloved with the Sport Makers programme and becoming part of the London 2012 Olympic Legacy programme. 2012 looks set to be a busy time for Sport Makers!!

Roadshows Great Success

Have just finished visiting over 1,200 children in primary schools, showing them what the game of squash is all about. It was fantastic fun meeting all the children and watching them getting excited over a game most of them had never seen or tried before. At the end of it all they all seemed to have a great time and many of them want to give squash a try properly, so I look forward to seeing some of them at the Academy soon!!!

On Saturday 26th November I will be running an open afternoon from 2pm til 4pm at Bicester Leisure Centre, Queens Ave, Bicester, Oxon. It is open to any junior from the age of 5 to 18 to come along and have a try at squash or to see what the Sue Wright Squash Academy has to offer to anyone that would like to get involved with squash. There is NO CHARGE just come along have a go and have some fun.
