Sue Wright

Having turned professional at the age of 17 Sue went on to become one of Englands most successful women players between1990 and 2001.  Winning Gold (women’s doubles) and Bronze (womens singles) medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, four British National titles, three European titles, reached two British Open Finals and achieved a career-high world ranking of three.  Sue was renowed for being one of the tours battlers, never giving up and fighting for every last point.   Now having moved into the Media, Presenting and Promoting world Sue continues to strive to give her best in everything she does, from event presenting, roadshows, mentoring, writing, ambassador roles and much more.

Major Squash Achievements

British National Champion – 1992, 1997, 1998 and 2001
One of a select few having achieved four or more National titles.

British Open Finalist – 1991 and 2000
Maintained level over ten year period and was only female qualifier ever to reach a British Open Final.

European Champion of Champions – 1992, 1993, 1997
One of a select few to have achieved three European Champion of Champion Titles.

Commonwealth Games – Gold and Bronze Medalist – 1998
Part of the first ever Squash squad to participate in the Commonwealth Games.
